Project 1
My first project focused on introducing players to upcoming changes within the Riot Client. I developed a UX solution that tackled key problem areas, use cases, and potential edge cases. After finalizing my design, I created a comprehensive design brief that outlined the project’s purpose and approach. This brief included the reasoning behind my solution, along with detailed annotations on UX requirements to ensure a smooth visual design handoff. While the project is still in development, I look forward to showcasing it soon.
Project 2
My second project focused on enhancing the social experience within the Riot Client. I introduced a UX concept that gained alignment across all production teams, setting a foundation for future development. I ensured the feature aligned with existing technical requirements and provided detailed documentation, along with additional ideas for the team to explore and build upon.

My Responsibilities
My role as a designer involved researching, designing, prototyping wireframes, and facilitating stakeholder feedback sessions across multiple teams. My projects were primarily focused on designing foundational UX concept ideas behind specific problem spaces within the Riot Client. I focused on creating scalable solutions so that players have a unified brand experience among all Riot platforms.
What I learned
Effective Storytelling
Being a good designer is learning how to create the right visuals to communicate your design concepts. I learned how to gain alignment among multiple teams and utilize different visuals to communicate to product managers and engineers.
Zooming out to Systems Design
Understanding the overall system design, such as how your product fits within the broader brand and vision of the company, helps ensure cohesive decision making, align design solutions with business goals, and create a more seamless user experience.
Reach Out & Share Work
I learned that it is totally okay to reach out to others and share incomplete work for feedback. No one expects perfection on the first try. Reaching out for clarification helps you understand where your product sits within the team and identify the problem you are working on. Sharing your incomplete work also fosters a collaborative work environment where everyone is constantly updated on your thinking process!
